Clinton speaks at Auckland Event

Former United States Secretary of State and unsuccessful 2016 Presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, is in Auckland early this week before heading to Australia.

Ostensibly in the country for a speaking engagement at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Monday, Clinton has recently released her tell all book on the lead up, and aftermath of the 2016 Presidential election.

Titled ; ‘What happened ‘ the book details Clintons perceived reasons for her loss to incumbent Donald Trump. Blame is levelled at several media outlets, in particular “meddling”from the New York Times, interference from Russia,and her own missguided comments about coal miners in key swing states.

Mrs Clinton also made time to meet with Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, at the Sofitel hotel where she is staying.It is believed expectant mother Ardern received a baby gift, after Clinton was seen shopping in a Parnell baby boutique on Saturday.

Just what was on the agenda was not immediately released to waiting media, although Ardern alluded to conversations pertaining to the empowerment of women.

Clinton will deliver her lecture as a part of the “Women world changers” speaker series, promoted by Australian company The Growth faculty.

Ticket prices range from $195 to $495 for the event.
